2022 and 2023 to date have been filled with lessons of resiliency and discipline for me and my family, and I AM HERE FOR IT!! …Although there were several days I wasn’t so sure. How you mentally program yourself matters and you are mentally programming yourself on a daily basis whether you know it or not. 

For the past 18 months, we’ve been going through… and we are still standing, more resilient & committed to our dreams & future than ever. Someday we’ll share the whole story, but for now, know that the shit we grow through really does make us stronger, happier, and more badass - if we let it! Our confidence and resilience and even our imposter syndrome are impacted and influenced by the challenges we face.

Resilience, imposter syndrome, and confidence are interconnected elements that can significantly influence our mindset and personal growth.

Resilience refers to our ability to bounce back from challenges, setbacks, and adversity. It’s about adapting, learning, and growing stronger in the face of obstacles. Resilient individuals are better equipped to handle stress, overcome failures, and maintain a positive outlook.

Imposter syndrome, on the other hand, is where we doubt our accomplishments and have an internal fear of being exposed as a fraud. We attribute our success to luck or external factors, discounting our legitimate skills and abilities. Imposter syndrome can hinder self-confidence and lead to self-doubt and anxiety when it’s not seen in the right context.

Confidence is the belief in our own abilities, worth, and potential. It is a key factor in how we approach challenges, take risks, and pursue our goals. When we have confidence, we trust in ourselves, our skills, and our capacity to succeed. It allows us to step out of our comfort zones, embrace opportunities, and persevere even in the face of uncertainty.

The connection between resilience, imposter syndrome, and confidence lies in how they influence our mindset and response to adversity. Building resilience fuels our confidence and helps us see imposter syndrome as a sign that we’re about to level up and be stretched. It’s the mouse in the basement making a bunch of noise in the dark, but as soon as you turn the light on, it runs scared.

Recognizing and celebrating our achievements, embracing self-compassion, and challenging negative self-talk are essential steps in building confidence. As confidence grows, we’re quick to turn the light on our imposter syndrome - seeing it for what it is, and we become more resilient in the face of challenges.
